I was sure this wouldn't work, due to all the negative reviews. I'm not usually the type to have success with a poorly reviewed product, but I was lucky and our toy works great. The cars dont go super far, but they go about 10 inches and are fun and make my little man happy. There is a little gray pole sticking out in the back of each car that you do have to push in before placing the car in the garage or it won't work, so I wonder if some people aren't pushing that in. It doesn't come with directions, so that is entirely possible. We like this toy, it works well, and is a very fun variation of a pounding toy. I recommend this. My only complaint would be the stickers are hard to place and should be put on by the factory. It is super hard to reach back in the garage and line them up correctly. They are not even necessary though.
